Exercise on an empty stomach?
Should I exercise on an empty stomach and will it help my weight loss?
The battle between training on an empty stomach or not is a battle that has been going on for much time within the world of health but there are advantages of putting your body into a fasted state to increase weight loss and exercise.
Putting your body into a fasted state will give dramatic effects to your body and here are 2 you should know:
1. Improved insulin sensitivity. Put into simple terms, the body releases insulin (a hormone) when we eat to help us absorb the nutrients from our food. The hormone then works within the bloodstream to extract sugars and directs them to the liver, muscles, and fat cells to be used as energy later on and therefore creating weight loss. The trouble is that eating too much and too often can make us more resistant to insulin’s effects, and while poor insulin sensitivity ups the risk of heart disease and cancer, it also makes it harder to lose body fat.By Fasting and increasing weight loss more frequent it results in the body releasing insulin less often, so we become more sensitive to it. This then makes it easier to lose fat, improves blood flow to muscles, and even curbs the impact of an unhealthy diet.
2. The Second main reason for choosing to make fasting a part of your life comes down to the mass production of Growth Hormone. The Growth Hormone is a fantastic hormone which makes new muscle tissue, burns fats, improves physical function and even can increase the quality of bone structure. These mixed as a package can help result in weight loss. Can you guess why then it is good to exercise on an empty stomach? You guessed it, hormones that are generated appear to be fantastic for what your body needs to grow and build muscle effectively.
One recent study has even shown that a single 24 hour period of fasting can increase a Males Growth Hormone production by an bulk inducing 2000%. Wow. In the same time period increases Womens Hormone by 1300%. Not only this but the effects of the increased hormone do not stop until the fast does.
